These grade level Shabbat offerings are organized so that ALL Temple Emanuel families can connect and meet others with similar age children in a relaxed, informal setting.

Grades K-2 Family Shabbat Service*

This program is offered for ALL Temple Emanuel families with children in grades K-2. We'll join the Ruach Shabbat Family Service for an age-appropriate, participatory Shabbat morning service.

4th and 5th Grade ‘Shul-in'*

Friday - Saturday, January 11/12, 2013
ALL 4th and 5th grade students in our community are invited to share Shabbat together beginning Friday evening with dinner, services, and fun activities followed by a sleepover in the synagogue, participation in age-appropriate Youth services on Shabbat morning, Kiddush and then returning home. We'll enjoy Shabbat together with lots of ‘ruach', and most of all have fun! This program is a joint effort of the Family and Informal Youth Education departments.

Grade-based Family Dinners, Shabbat Alive! Services and Dessert!

Dates: Grades K & 1-October 19
           Grades 2 & 3-February 1
           Grades 4 & 5-December 7.

Shabbat is more beautiful when you share it with family and friends. Each of these Shabbat
dinner and service programs is offered for ALL Temple Emanuel families with children in the appropriate grades. Please join us for a delicious Shabbat dinner (5:30 pm) followed by Shabbat Alive services (6:30 pm) and dessert. (7:30 pm).

Community Havdalah and Movie Night *

Saturday, February 12, 2013 5 - 9 pm
This winter program will start with a light dinner followed by a participatory Havdalah service. Then it's movie night with refreshments for ALL! Multiple movies for different ages and tastes will be shown. Watch for details!

Grade 5 - Family Shabbat Service

Saturday, April 6, 2013 10:30 - 12 noon
Our Religious School Hay class students will take "center bimah" as they lead a special Shabbat morning family service in Reisman Hall.

SYNAGOGUE-WIDE  RETREAT  - May 3 - 5, 2013 at Camp Yavneh

Attend our 3^rd annual synagogue-wide Retreat for all Temple Emanuel members scheduled for May, 2013 at Camp Yavneh in New Hampshire. Encourage your TE friends to join you at this amazing community-wide experience. This year we will explore Jewish arts throughout the weekend. Join us as we celebrate the joy and spirit of Shabbat with members of the Emanuel community. Relax with a book or go swimming or boating in the lake. Hang out with friends. Study and schmooze with our retreat ‘scholar-in-residence'. Registration info will be sent out in January. All accommodations, meals, snacks, recreational and educational activities and childcare are included in the weekend package.
