Shabbat Chapel Minyan
The Temple Emanuel Shabbat Chapel Minyan is a fully egalitarian, traditional lay-led Shabbat morning service that convenes twice monthly at 9:30 am in the intimacy of the Gann Chapel. Members lead davening, chant Torah and Haftarah and deliver divrei Torah.
All are invited to attend these services. Parents are encouraged to bring their children. The Shabbat Chapel Minyan includes longtime Emanuel members and newcomers, women and men, children and elders, people who want to learn new davening skills and people who just enjoy being in a cozy setting, people with limited Hebrew skills and expert daveners.
The upcoming Shabbat Chapel Minyan dates for 2011-12 (5772) are:
- February 4th (New Date), 11th and 25th
- March 10th and 17th
- April 21st
- May 5th and 26th
- June 2nd and 16th
There are many opportunities for participating in the service and volunteers are needed and welcomed. Please contact one of the Minyan coordinators if you are interested in participating in the service or in minyan social events. The coordinators for 5770 are:
