The Rabbi Marshall R. Lifson Library
Donations of any amount to the Rabbi Marshall R. Lifson Library Fund to support our library are always welcome. In addition, other gift opportunities in support of the library include the donation of a specially named Collection or Book Shelf in the library. Please consider the following gifts to support the library and honor your loved one, pay tribute to someone special, or mark a special occasion:
Named Collections - For a $10,000 minimum contribution, a donor may name an entire collection in the library. Examples of our current named collections include:
Whenever a book is purchased in any of these categories, a special plate, designed specially for these funds, is placed inside the front cover with appropriate wording. We thank each donor and notify each family that a contribution to their funds has been received.
Book Shelves - For a $2,500 contribution, a small engraved plaque is displayed in the library and Lifson Library Book Plates are placed in 25 books. The donor can specify what genre of book into which they would like their donor plates to be placed.
Examples include needlecraft and decorative art books in memory of a member’s parents and a women’s studies shelf in honor of Hadassah Blocker.
If you have questions about donations, or wish to create a special collection, please contact the library at 617 558-8126 or grosen@templeemanuel.com.
