Shabbat is God's gift to us, a 25-hour reprieve from the demands of everyday life – bills, errands, cell phones, e-mail, work – what the poet Wallace Stevens once called the "malady of quotidian." We share the joy of Shabbat through Shabbat Alive! and other services, community dinners, retreats, and Shabbat Unplugged, an innovative community-wide program where we celebrate together this 25-hour sanctuary in time.
