Rabbi Michelle Robinson
Rabbi Michelle Robinson came to Temple Emanuel from California where she was ordained as part of the first graduating class of the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies at the University of Judaism in Los Angeles in 1999.
In the course of her rabbinic training, she received the Henry Fisher Award for outstanding achievement in Jewish Studies, as well as the David Aronson Award for excellence in rabbinic literature.
She received her bachelor's degree in Religious Studies from the University of California at Santa Barbara, where she discovered a love for Jewish texts that led her to the rabbinate. She is deeply committed to sharing this love of text study with others.
Rabbi Robinson has also spent three years and many summers learning and travelling in Israel, where she was blessed to meet her husband, Mike. Together they are the proud parents of Maya, Noa and Eli, who remind them of God's blessings every day.
