Ruach Shabbat Family Service

A monthly lay-led Family Service for all school age children and teens grades K and up and their parents, beginning at 10:45 am.
Students and their families lead the prayers and the Torah service includes a fun Question and Answer session for the kids (with prizes), as well as a brief commentary on the weekly Torah portion.
If you and your kids would like a part in the service (we have Hebrew parts, English parts, and silent parts such as opening the ark, for all ability levels), please email Pam Weinfeld. Student-led prayers include Modeh Ani, Ma Tovu, Berhot Hashachar, Halleluhu, Barechu, Shema, Mi Chamocha, Amidah, Torah service, Aliyot, Torah Reading (1-2 verses), Ashrei, Ein Keloheinu, Aleinu, and Adon Olam.
To volunteer to participate, contact Marc Stober to read Torah, Nicole Gann if your kids are grade 3 and up, or Jenny Heinstein (for families with kids K-2).
All children participate with the entire congregation in the conclusion of the morning services in the Rabbi Samuel Chiel Sanctuary, and join everyone in the community at our weekly Kiddush immediately following services. Kiddush after each Family Service will include Ice Cream treats.
