Temple Emanuel sponsors three Israeli dance troupes for kids of all ages! Each group meets weekly in preparation for a performance in March at Boston's Annual Israel Folk Dance Festival which draws dance troupes from across the country. They have also performed at Temple Emanuel's Yom Ha'Atzma'ut celebrations and in other venues.
Sucaria ("Sweets") is open to kids in grades K-4 and their parents. This is a fun, multi-generational opportunity for kids and parents to dance together. No prior experience required! Rehearsals are on Sundays from 1:30 - 2:30 pm. Click for registration information and full schedule.
Ma'adanim ("Delights") is for middle schoolers in grades 5-8. Have you danced at camp? In Makor? In Sucaria? Do you just love to dance? This dance troupe is just for middle schoolers! Katzefet ("Whipped Cream") is for teens in grades 9-12. Katzefet is renowned for its exciting choreographies and performances. Many current members started as kids who loved Israeli dancing. Rehearsals are on Sundays from 3:30 - 5:30 pm. Click for registration information and full schedule.

"Torah Talk" is an intergenerational opportunity for parents, students, congregants, and Rabbis to come together to study Torah, the written record of the relationship between God and the Jewish people.
Bedtime is a special time for young children and their parents. Memories of loving bedtime rituals last a lifetime, and are often reenacted by the next generation and their children. Our tradition offers an especially beautiful opportunity to bring a Jewish flavor to bedtime. Please bring your children in their PJ's as we explore a Jewish way to end the day!
This program of The Anti-Defamation League of Boston is a participatory workshop designed to empower young people and adults to respond to anti-Semitic incidents. Conducted by trained facilitators, in a safe environment, students and parents will talk about anti-Semitism and anti-Semitic incidents including when and how to respond, and the consequences of these responses.
A light supper will be provided.
