Ailene Gerhardt is an Independent Board Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA) andfounder of Beacon Patient Solutions LLC. She works with individual clients in need ofassistance navigating the complexities of the healthcare system.
Ailene’s mother became gravely ill. She experienced first-hand how draining andchallenging navigating the intricacies of the health care system can be while activelysupporting a loved one experiencing a healthcare crisis.
The experience as her family member’s primary health advocate led Ailene to a career change and hercalling as a private patient advocate. Ailene completed her Professional Certificate in Consumer HealthAdvocacy at the University of Wisconsin’s Center for Patient Partnerships in August 2017, foundedBeacon Patient Solutions LLC in February 2018, and earned her Board Certified Patient Advocate(BCPA) credential in April 2018.
