Antisemitism is the single most virulent form of hatred. Incidents of antisemitism have risen globally over the past ten years. The sophisticated use of digital electronics, especially social media, have given racists of all persuasions a platform to spew their hatred and venom. Desecration of Jewish holy sites, attacks on businesses owned by Jews or Jews individually, and most recently the murder of eleven innocent Jews who were praying in their synagogues in Pittsburgh and San Diego remind us of the events in pre-Holocaust Europe – 1919-1933.

In past months antisemitic/anti-Israel speeches (subtle and overt) by newly elected representatives have sparked open verbal battles on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives and on social media. The question is WHY NOW?
