“Artful Afternoons” is an interactive art appreciation and art making program for seniors, with a new theme each time! Held on Thursday afternoons, this program offers storytelling, film, visual arts, music and more to stimulate the mind and soul. No charge; all are welcome! Refreshments served.

Join us for the final session on Chinese brush painting. Instructor Vartus Varadian is a graphic designer by education who turned to Chinese brush painting as a means of meditation and inspiration.

Mobiles and Sculptures of Alexander Calder

Join us as research librarian Michele Marram explores the life and work of 20th century American sculptor Alexander Calder. Participants will have the opportunity to create their own sculptural work of art.

Art Matters historian Regina Sullivan will discuss Norman Rockwell’s famous paintings and help us understand how he came to be recognized as an icon of our country, “as American as apple pie, baseball and Norman
