One in Forty: Understanding the Jewish Cancer Connection
March 14 @ 7:45 pm - 9:15 pm
Knowledge is Empowering
Join us to learn from experts about Ashkenazi Jews’ one-in-forty risk of inheriting a BRCA gene mutation. Having a BRCA gene mutation significantly increases one’s risk of developing breast, ovarian, prostate and other cancers.
Panelists will discuss genetic counseling, the rationale for testing for BRCA gene mutations, managing cancer risk and resources available for those who carry BRCA gene mutations.
Individuals who have a BRCA gene mutation will share their stories followed by a Q&A session.
This symposium is FREE OF CHARGE and OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
Kosher refreshments will be served. Please contact Lauren Corduck 617.823.3630 with questions.
