DESCRIPTION:ONOT Aviv is Temple Emanuel’s premiere Israeli Dance Troupe for children in grades 2-5!\n(ONOT means “seasons” and Aviv means “Spring”) \nStudents will learn Harkeda (popular\, just-for-fun) dances as well as a choreographed routine that will be performed at the Israel Folkdance Festival of Boston and at the Zimkudiyah! They might even pick up some Hebrew along the way! \nONOT Alumna\, Ruthie Holzer will be instructing the class with the help of Temple Emanuel dance teacher\, Avi Wald. \nTuition is included with Religious School tuition\, apart from a $25 t-shirt/costume fee. $180 for students outside of the Religious School. SUMMARY:World Wide Wrap Learner's Minyan & Brunch
DESCRIPTION:For grades 5-8 and open to all!\nGet ready to wrap and roll! \nCelebrate World Wide Wrap Day by participating in the mitzvah of wrapping tefillin with our community. \n5th-7th graders and their parents are invited to a special learner’s morning minyan service followed by a bagel and lox brunch and learn. Students in 8th-12th grade as well as “curious-about-tefillin” adults are encouraged to join us as well. \n9:30-10:00 The wrapping begins\n10:00-11:00 Learner’s Service in Gann Chapel\n11:00-11:45 Brunch and Learn \n5th and 6th graders will use the tefillin they hand-make at Religious School prior to the program. \n7th graders should bring their tefillin they received their bar/bat mitzvah year as well as the tallit they made in 6th grade. \n8th graders and up should bring any tefillin or tallit they may have. Some pairs will be available to borrow. \nFor food ordering purposes\, RSVP is appreciated if you or your child are not part of the grades 5-7 Religious School community.
