He also serves as a Backup Domestic Violence Officer and investigates and tracks Hate & Bias Crimes. He is a member of the Council on Aging\, a liaison to the Disabled Persons Protection Commission\, and serves on the Middlesex District Attorney’s Anti-Hate and Bias Task Force and the Anti-Defamation League’s Law Enforcement Committee. Officer Rosenbaum is dedicated to protecting vulnerable populations and strengthening community safety. \nOfficer Justin Lau is a law enforcement professional with over 15 years of service with the Newton Police Department\, where he currently serves as a Community Outreach Officer and Community Resource Dog Handler. In his dual role\, Officer Lau leads outreach initiatives focused on fostering trust\, transparency\, and collaboration. As a Community Outreach Officer\, he works closely with community members\, local organizations\, and civic leaders to address concerns\, support public safety efforts\, and create meaningful opportunities for engagement. As a Community Resource Dog Handler\, he uses the connection between his canine partner\, Officer Leo\, and the public to enhance community interactions\, provide comfort in times of need\, and promote positive relationships with law enforcement.
