Shabbat morning, October 21, 8:30 – 9:30 am
If you’ve been on social media this week, you’ve seen a rash of painful hashtags. #Me too. I have been a victim of sexual harassment. #Me too. I have been victimized by the patriarchy. #Me too. This is my story. Millions of posts. Millions of people.
#Me too is not new. Our sacred texts are also filled with hashtags. #Dina too. #Bathsheba too. #Tamar too.
What can we do in the age of #Me too? How can we respond not only to the pain of those who are posting, but also to the brokenness in our world which enables harassment and predation?
See you on Shabbat morning at 8:30
