Nothing like gathering in person, with friends, under the stars! Sukkot is intended to be a time when we leave the comfort of our homes, pack just what we need, and experience the magic of being outdoors. This year, we’re going to do just that—pack up a picnic basket with your favorite vegetarian/kosher meal (or pick up a vegetarian take out dish) and meet us at the Temple Emanuel Sukkah for dinner.
(All attendees must complete this form to attend, and all attendees MUST wear a mask during the event when you are not eating.)
Yisod Cooks
Grab your chef hats, aprons, and laptops and join us for our first-ever virtual cooking class! This class will be taught by Ben Helfgot, the creator of StoveTop Co-Op, a program that allows people to virtually connect through the art of cooking, no matter where they are in the world. We thought this would be the perfect activity for our Yisod community, in this time of social distancing and uncertainty, to come together and create a delicious meal.
Since we are preparing this meal a week before Rosh Hashanah, we will be using symbolic ingredients of this High Holiday.
You will be learning how to make:
-Crispy Salmon
-Couscous with Seven Vegetables
-Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Honey Glaze
We will email registrants the list of ingredients a week before, so you have enough time to purchase everything you’ll need..
The cost to register is $18.
