Technology use (including tablets, phones and other devices) in young kids has increased dramatically since March, leaving many parents worrying about the effect this may have on their children’s’ development. Come join a discussion with Deborah Kadish, MD focused on screen usage in preschoolers and early elementary students. Topics will include impacts on health, attention, self-esteem, and empathy. The workshop will suggest practical approaches for navigating our current reliance on technology and screens during the pandemic.
Deborah Kadish is a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist in private practice in Newton Highlands. She is affiliated with Massachusetts General Hospital, where she supervises child psychiatry fellows. She has particular interests in working with young children and their parents.
