Alix Herer was born in Connecticut, and grew up in Newton, Massachusetts. She attended school in Newton, and later went on to High School in Narragansett, Rhode Island, Lesley University, and Hebrew College where she studied Early Childhood Education. Previously Alix was employed by Boston Children’s Hospital after college in a variety of roles, it is there she realized she wanted to continue her dream of working with young children in a teaching capacity. Alix has always been connected to Judaism and has had a passion for teaching. She feels so fortunate to have bridged the two together here at Temple Emanuel. Alix is excited every day to continue to learn and walk through our doors here where Temple Emanuel has become extended family.  Alix resides in Needham.
