Young Families & Youth Programming Coordinator
Cayla has been heavily involved in her Jewish community for her whole life. Growing up in Westchester, NY, she was a member of her temple’s youth board throughout high school. She attended Franklin & Marshall College, where she studied government and international studies and served as an Engagement Intern for Hillel. After F&M, she joined Teach for America, where she taught English as a Second Language and Special Education in Springfield and Holyoke, MA. While living in Western, MA, Cayla hosted several interfaith Shabbat dinners for coworkers, friends, and community members. Cayla holds a Master’s of Education from Boston University. She looks forward to continuing her work with children and Jewish programming at Temple Emanuel!
In her free time, Cayla enjoys hanging out with her pup, Noodles, whipping up new recipes (ask her about her coffee cake cookies!), exploring new hiking trails, and watching Netflix with her roommates.
