COVID-19 Protocols

We are thrilled to welcome our Temple Emanuel community back to in-person services, learning, programs, and ceremonies. Given the rise of the Delta variant of COVID-19, and consistent with current CDC guidance which now applies to our county, our medical committee has advised us that it is prudent for us to require masks, covering mouth and nose, in our building at all times, regardless of vaccination status. Masks are encouraged but not required for events and programs outdoors.* Continued vigilance about our community’s health during the pandemic and adherence to our Covid-19 protocols have successfully limited community spread and kept our members and staff safe.

Below, you will find detailed information regarding COVID-19 protocols for our Preschool, Religious School, B’nei Mitzvah, and General Building Protocols.

All events or programs with food, or that require the removal of masks, whether a private rental or Temple Emanuel program, must take place outside of our building. We have several tented and open areas on our property available.

As always, if you or anyone in your family is not feeling well, please exercise caution and join us virtually.

*School protocols may differ. See specific school guidelines below.

Attending Services and Kiddush

To attend in-person services we require all who are eligible to be fully vaccinated. Children under the age of 12 may attend services wearing a well-fitted mask, covering mouth and nose.

All Children’s and Tot services are hosted outdoors, weather permitting. All children over the age of 2 are required to wear a well-fitted mask. Children under the age of 2 are encouraged to wear masks but not required.

Shabbat Kiddush is held outdoors weekly after Shabbat Morning services. Masking is encouraged, except when eating or drinking.

Events and Programs at Temple Emanuel

We continue to host events both virtually, via our livestream/zoom, and in the building. Please check out events calendar for upcoming events.

  • Teen Events

All teens must be vaccinated to attend in-person events.  For the safety of our teens and staff, the Solomon Youth Lounge is not in use at this time.

When traveling as a group by bus, teens will be seated one to a seat, windows down and will wear masks covering mouth and nose a all times. Food will be served outdoors and eaten only once those in attendance can be socially distanced.

For more information please contact Wayne Goldstein, Harry Kraft Director of Informal Youth Education & Chai385 Director or Cayla Berkowitz, Youth Programming Coordinator

Rental Events at Temple Emanuel

Our building is available for rentals without capacity limitations for indoor and outdoor spaces. All attendees must wear a mask covering mouth and nose indoors regardless of vaccination status.

All catered events or activities that require the removal of masks must take place outdoors. We have two beautiful outdoor spaces that are available for private events if you wish to serve food and beverages.

For more information about private rentals please contact Katelyn Bellina, Event & Logistics Manager.
