Social Action

Redeeming the World

Together, we can radiate grace into our world.

Temple Emanuel is a community of service. On these pages, you will find information about some of the projects we have worked on in the past, about some of our 6th grade mitzvah projects and about ways you can get involved.

Social Action Committee

Our Social Action agenda summons us to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, and educate our youth. Some of our diverse activities are described in these pages. Find something that you feel passionate about and join our efforts to improve the lives of and build bridges to individuals in the Greater Boston Community.

We are always seeking new ideas – and new members! Please consider joining our efforts.

To learn more, please contact Ellen Kass or Barbara Goldman, our Social Action Committee Co-Chairs.

The Social Justice Advisory Board was created to raise awareness and provide opportunities for Temple members to work together to address a variety of social justice issues. Among the issues that the Advisory Board has focused on are food insecurity, immigration, gun violence and racial justice and equity, If you are interested in joining the Advisory Board or learning more, contact co-chairs Jim Cohen or Tamar Gaffin-Cahn.
