Join us for a post-kiddush talk about gender in Hebrew, led by Pam Adelstein!
Hebrew is an inherently binary language- words are feminine or masculine. However gender identity is a spectrum, and there are people whose gender identity doesn’t fit neatly into these binary groups. We will discuss ways of considering and adapting Jewish rituals to better support and include nonbinary people. We will also examine how the Hebrew language might evolve to be more inclusive and reflective of a gender nonbinary world. No registration necessary!
