Hadar Boston Regional Shabbaton

March 7 @ 5:00 pm - March 9 @ 1:00 pm

Spend the weekend with Hadar Faculty and friends from across the Greater Boston area deep in learning Jewish texts, soul-stirring davening, delicious food and more.

As we get ready for Purim, we’ll spend Shabbat exploring the idea of Hester Panim: Divine Hiddenness and Absence through Torah, through song and through prayer.  We will delve into the complexities of experiencing divine hiddenness, from biblical narratives to the mystical and philosophical approaches of Jewish thought. Together, we will explore how moments of perceived absence or silence in our lives can become occasions for profound insight, growth, and spiritual discovery.

The shabbaton will include uplifting prayer, meals, communal song opportunities and incredible classes with Hadar faculty. You can register for part or all of this special weekend. Note: Saturday’s Talmud Class, Shabbat Morning Service, and Lunch n’ Learn are FREE for all Temple Emanuel members and DO NOT require registration. To take part in the other sessions, you can register for the full shabbaton here or register here to join us for Saturday night and Sunday.

Children’s programming and babysitting will be provided on Saturday morning during services and the Lunch n’ Learn.  Families with children grades 3-7 are invited to join us for a Family Beit Midrash on Shabbat afternoon.

Home hospitality is available via request on the registration form. Requests for home hospitality must be made by January 31st.

Cost: $0-500
