The Nominating and Governance Committee has begun the process of nominating Congregants for election in June 2021 to fill vacancies on the Board of Directors and the Board of Trustees. The new Directors and Trustees will be eligible to serve a three year term beginning July 1, 2021. We invite any Congregant who is interested in joining the leadership of Temple Emanuel as a new Director or Trustee to submit an application for consideration by the Committee.
Our governance structure enables us to address the needs of the congregation in a streamlined and effective way. We are governed by a Board of Directors of 36 lay leaders, including 10 Officers and 26 Elected Directors who are responsible for the control and management of the affairs of the synagogue. A Board of Trustees provides both wisdom and advice to the Directors and also provides a stepping stone for increased involvement in lay leadership.
