Ensuring Your Safety and Security

We understand the concerns that have arisen recently due to the devastating news from Israel, which has also impacted our own Jewish community.

We want to take this opportunity to reassure you that your safety, and the safety of our entire community, is of the utmost importance to us.

At this time, we want to share with you some information provided by CJP’s Communal Security Initiative (CSI). CSI is in constant communication with federal, state, and local law enforcement partners and fusion centers, as well as national Jewish organizations focused on threats and security-related issues. As of now, there is no specific, credible information about an imminent threat to the Jewish community (or interfaith religious community) in New England. While this is reassuring, it is essential to remember that the current climate in Israel, U.S. politics, and social media has heightened tensions and increased the potential for antisemitic incidents with little or no advance warning. In these times, preparedness is key.

In these uncertain times, we must come together as a community, stand up against hatred, and support one another. We will continue to work diligently in collaboration with our local partners at CJP and the Newton Police, to ensure the security of our community.

Your safety and well-being are our top priorities, and we are committed to ensuring that Temple Emanuel remains a place of peace, reflection, and unity.

Sincerely,

Tim Mahoney, President
