Hagbah is an honor and contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to be a Jewish weightlifter to do it. Come on! It’s time to:
• Remove the fear and mystery around hagbah
• Learn proper hagbah technique
• Practice safe lifting and positioning
• Understand gelilah (dressing the scroll)
• Gain confidence to participate in services
