What is a Memory Café? A memory café is a model of social programming that provides an inviting place for people with forgetfulness or other changes in their thinking – and their family/friends!

Sept 11 – Music, Trivia and Sharing Stories with Steve Ginz

After receiving a masters degree in music therapy and mental health counseling, Steve Gintz, MT-BC, MA, CDP, began his career working as a counselor for teen girls in 2015. Three years later, Steve left his counseling position — and faced his fear of cold calling — to start Instrumental Health™, which uses the power of music and the arts to nourish mind, body, and spirit.

Oct 23 – Musical Memories of Old Time Favorites with John and Linda

John Poirier, singer/guitarist in a duet performance.

Nov 13 – Making Music Together with Linda LaSalle featuring the harp, guitar and other small instruments

Join Linda LaSalle, a board certified music therapist who plays the guitar and lap harp, for an interactive hour of singing familiar tunes, moving to music, drumming and reminiscing. Participants will be able to shake maracas, bells, tambourines, frame drums/mallets.

Dec 4 – Sing Along with Ruth Rappaport

Join singer/guitarist Ruth Rappaport for a festive Sing Along with song sheets to prompt.
