Temple Emanuel’s Klezmer Band is playing for the Stars of David on Sunday, May 17 in Adelson Community Hall. Come to listen and enjoy Israeli music and famous Yiddish songs!
About The Stars of David
The Stars of David is a group of adults with disabilities that meet for fun and spirited Jewish themed activities at Temple Emanuel. The group ages 30-70, meets one Sunday per month, and always includes lunch.
New participants are warmly welcomed by all including our many volunteers! Come see for yourself! Aides and family members are also welcome as needed and you need not be a Temple Emanuel member to attend. RSVPs for each meeting are appreciated.
For further information and to confirm the starting time for each meeting (sometimes we start at noon), please contact Debbie Sussman at templestarsofdavid@gmail.com or call (617) 620-8384.
About Temple Emanuel’s Klezmer Band
The Klezmer Band enjoys playing old and new tunes and learning about Klezmer music. How do the mysterious notes come together as music? Are there are special chords, scales? Find out the answer through playing Klezmer music! If you are playing any music instrument and would like to join the Klezmer Band, please contact Eugenia Gerstein, Choral Director at egerstein@templeemanuel.com. There is no better way to connecting with people than making music together!
The Band meets twice a month on Tuesdays at 6:30pm-7:30pm. We perform at Temple Emanuel, Shechter Boston and for Boston Jewish communities.
