Apr 2 @ 1pm – Music of Broadway’s Best performed by Lisa Yves

Lisa Yves is a highly accomplished musician, vocalist, songwriter, and mentor with a diverse range of experiences in the music industry. As a singer and songwriter, Lisa has released over 10 albums of original music across various genres.

Apr 9 @ 1pm – Classical and Broadway Favorites with Rick Scalise

Join pianist Rick Scalise for an afternoon of Broadway Showtunes and light classical music.

Apr 16 @ 1pm – Ruth Rappaport and Jonah Sidman perform Klezmer and more in concert

Join singer/guitarist Ruth Rappaport and fiddler player Jonah Sidman. Jonah is a fluent Yiddish speaker and will play a few Klezmer songs, Hebrew standards, as well as perform Appalachian and Irish tunes.

May 7 @ 1pm – Rhea Simon sings Broadway Showtunes and Songs from the American Songbook, ending with a sing along!

May 14 @ 1pm – Cantor Elias Rosemberg and Pianist Jeremiah Klarman in concert

Cantor Elias Rosemberg will perform along with Pianist Jeremiah Klarman in a wonderful concert of Cantorial, Yiddish, Israeli and Ladino music as well as Broadway Favorites, and Opera! Not to be missed!

Hazzan Elias Rosemberg is a graduate of the Seminario Rabínico Latinoamericano, in Buenos Aires, Argentina where he obtained the degree of Hazzan and Singing Professor. Since 2007, Elias has served as the Cantor of Temple Emanuel in Newton, the largest Conservative Synagogue in New England, where he has created many meaningful and exciting new programs including the successful Shabbat Alive service, annual Passover Seder, musical services for the high holidays and Shabbat morning, an annual Thanksgiving concert series, the Tzimoret teen band and the monthly Shabbat Shirah at the Hebrew school. He has produced shows for the congregation and has recorded and produced several CD’S for the Synagogue. In addition, he has led congregational trips to Argentina, Spain, Poland-Israel with March of the living, and Italy. Hazzan Rosemberg has served in the national Executive council and as the New England Region Chair for the Cantors Assembly. He’s a past president of the New England Board of Cantors and serves in the faculty of the Cantor-Educator program at Hebrew College in Boston as a Cantorial Coach. Elias is currently the president of the AJL (Asamblea de Jazanim Lationamericanos) alumni of the Seminario Rabinico Latinoamericano. In 2016 He was the recipient of the the Hiddur Mitzvah award by Masorti Olami, as the first Cantor from Latin America to get such distinction.

Jeremiah Klarman (Artist-in-Residence) is a graduate of the New England Conservatory, where he studied composition and improvisation. He has a lifelong passion for Jewish music and has collaborated with several ensembles including the NEC Jewish Music Ensemble, the Zamir Chorale of Boston and the Klezmer Conservatory Band. His compositions have been performed by a wide array of ensembles, including the Boston Pops, the Boston Landmarks Orchestra, and more. Jeremiah is a regular musician at Temple Emanuel, participating services, concerts and other special events. He frequently collaborates with Cantor Rosemberg and has written several pieces for him.
