Pre-Ne’ilah Speaker Stephen Greenblatt

Dr. Stephen Greenblatt, Cogan University Professor of the Humanities at Harvard University, will speak about “Reflections on Repairing the World.” Stephen, who grew up at Temple Emanuel, and whose beloved late father Harry was a founder and former president of Temple Emanuel, and who went to Hebrew School here three days a week back in the day, will teach us what the short story “If Not Higher” by I.L. Peretz suggests about how to lead an ethical life in this new year.
